Virtual reality does sound like it would work. I mean they already have the contoller that you have to move to use, really the only other thing they need is a head mounted display. I don’t know if thats what it will be though. Remember the Virtual Boy.

To tell you the truth, I only got that from the Revolution topic at SCU. I don’t know where/when it was hinted.

It was hinted at some Nintendo convension where they showed the revolution specs, and when they sent out the Dev kits. Shigeru said that there would be something else “revolutionary” for the revolution.
Ah… So he just said, “There’s gonna be something else!” (not in those words, but it was obvious that’s what he meant)?

I first thought the controller was weird too… but then someone on GameSpot said this, “They say it’s going to be as simple as point and click because it can detect the angle your holding it.”
Then I got it being usually a PC gamer.
The second control stick is a crappy replacement for a MOUSE. With a controller like the Revolution’s, a console is going to be as easy to play on as a keyboard and mouse! I don’t know about you guys, but I find it difficult to play with a controller. ESPECIALLY on first person shooters.

That was a comment someone at IGN made. At the end, they said something about shooting a holographic image into your eyes. And then said he was just joking.

Not to mention they are already pretty much DONE with the damn system! They’re probably NOT going to intigrate it at this point. Unless they want to get some people really pissed off by setting the release to next year or something.

I never said they were going to make it VR. That (“We all know it’ll be virtual reality though”) was sarcasm. I was just pointing out the three tiny bits of evidence to support that it’s a small possibility. In fact, I sort of doubt the Revo’s going to have VR. But we’ll just have to wait until May 9th to find out…
If you have read recent gaming magazines Nintendo just released their first Revolution game. Red Steel, I didn’t have time to read the article completly but it seems that even though the Revolution may lack in graphics it makes up in AI. Basically the way you hold your gun(controller) is the way your caracter holds it. They say the AI are deadleir than normal. It might even be multiplayer(TBA).
So, the official name for the Revolution is now the Nintendo Wii. x_x
