I was gonna say something about that but I didn’t want to spoil it for any one.
I had a good LOL at that one. And that huge cutscene where all the characters enter the dark ‘world’ is one of my favorite cutscenes of all time.
Yeah, Peach’s Tea Party was hilarious. Sheik and Fox are ready to kill each other, and out of nowhere, “Tea?” Golden. My favorite part is that Fox actually takes a cup!
Well, that’s odd. There are two space pirate stickers–Space Pirate and Zebes Inhabitant. Why can’t they just pick a name and stick with it? >_>; Hell, they had Running Zero Suit Samus, why not Wall-Clinging Pirate or something?
Additionally, I just unlocked a completely bizarre Hamaya (or something like that) stage. Never heard of it or its game before, and it’s extremely what the hell. O_o
lol, yeah, really odd stage…
Not sure what game it’s from or has to do with, though. But I kinda like it.
But one thing that’s extremely what the hell… Last night, I beat Intense classic mode just for the hell of it… had to continue twice… and then I got to the master hand, and beat 'em without even taking damage…
However, I also unlocked the Crazy Hand trophy (I think for beating Intense classic…), and so I’m assuming that he’ll be making appearances from time to time… Hopefully. That would make the last stage a little more challenging, and beating it a little more rewarding <_<
Edit: Oh, and woot. I successfully got every hidden character I could without beating subspace.
spoilerish. Info on unlocking a character. Don’t even know if I’m expected to mark things in this topic <_<
Took me forever to get the 250 trophies to get Rob, though. That really sucked… endspoilerish
…because it’s easy.
I want to get everyone by unlocking them the old fashioned way, fighting them to obtain them and all that good stuff.
I just kinda decided that I was gonna do it that way, even if all it gives me is bragging rights and completed challenges.
I actually got to the level where you get rob, and my friend (who beat subspace the second day…) told me I was about to get him… and it confused him to no end when I stopped playing and checked my trophies, and then started up the coin launcher.
…lol, apparently I’m just completely opposite of all you guys. I kinda liked the great maze, even though it took forever. I think it took somewhere around two hours…
Getting Wolf also sucks, seeing as I’m horrible with Fox.
WHAT?!
Aw, hell, that sucks… I’ve been going through the boss mode with Fox, which wasn’t hard in itself… but I could NOT fucking beat wolf. First, I accidentally over-Bed right off the damn stage, then he blew me away with the dragoon, and then a bob-omb appeared right as I was using the up-B move…
Took four tries to get him. Kinda sucked.
lol… I kinda like wolf, takes some getting used to though. He’s easier for me to use than Fox <_<
But I can use Falco just fine >_<
Yeah, I actually liked that boss. My little brother was watching me fight him, and it got to the part where he jumps on the ship and knocks it way down… my brother’s reaction was hilarious.
“AGH! HOLY CR- WHAT TH- OH MY GO- be CAREFUL!!!”
…ya kinda had to be there, I guess.
Goddamn, getting Ridley’s trophy is a pain. I finally managed to get a trophy stand after about ten tries (kept killing him by accident), and then an exploding barrel dropped and he suicided. -_-
Edit: MOTHERFUCKING MOTHERFUCKER! He stabbed a koopa shell that time and it popped up and killed him again. >___<
Yeah, this is REALLY pissing me off now. Exploding crate, koopa shell, accidental midair grapple beam, etc… and now I just plain can’t get any troph stands to spawn.
Also, how the heck do you get the Space Pirate sticker? I have 577 of them and still no pirate, so I’m wondering if there might be a trick to it (it was pretty big in the screen I saw, so I assume it’s good/rare/special somehow) or if I’m just unlucky as hell…
Just making sure, but there was a better drop rate at higher difficulties, right?
Pop it up to hard or very hard (mehbe intense) and it shouldn’t be too hard to get to Ridley. And bosses sometimes (very rarely, if they do at all…) drop their trophies when they die. So… maybe raising the difficulty will help, dunno.
Er… I think I have that sticker <_< I’ve pretty much just done coin launcher, but it might be one of the challenges…
Could also be one of the break the targets challenges, but I kinda doubt it.
Anyone do any of the Co-op events yet? #05 is nearly impossible on Hard, I’ve gotta say. It’s the one where you have to kill 50 yoshis with Pit and Meta Knight in one lap around the rainbow cruise stage or whatever. If anyone has advice for THAT, it would be appreciated. I’ve got it down to about 5 - 10 yoshis left average, but I’m just asking if there is some kind of strategy for that or something.
Yeah, I can’t get that one for the life of me either. The best I was able to do was by ignoring their excellent rapid-hit attacks and focusing on smashing the Yoshters out.
At the beginning, use Pit’s infinite “A” combo on the top platform of the ship. It will kill the first fifteen or so Yoshis as they spawn. Meta Knight doesn’t need to do squat there. When the ship crashes, you’ll have to just brute force it for a while, using whatever moves can kill the yoshis in one shot reliably. This is probably where it all counts, I would say. If you time it right, you can get the carpets of move along with you yoshi spawning points, and use Pit to stand on one and kill them as they spawn, and use Meta Knight’s Ariel Up+A for the survivors. This MK attack is usually what I use at the end as well; stand under the platforms and jump at 'em when they spawn and fall.
Even with strategy, this event is INSANE, though. I have been trying all day, and my head feels like it was hit with a rock.
lol… it’s amazing how the game can get you to memorize… everything. For instance… the exact pattern you have to use to finish a target test (or the exact pattern you use…), the exact timing, button pressing, etc… On number four, I ended up counting on the fact that one of the moving targets would be in the exact same spot every time I got to it.
On the yoshi event, I just used MK’s up-A move as they spawned, and tried to stay on top of the spawn point the whole map. It was mostly hard on the left side of the map, the rest was pretty easy. But if I screwed up the left, I was screwed.
Edit: Oh, and as one of those “OMFG” moments, DON’T put your Wii down on it’s side on relatively thick carpet that doesn’t breath at all. The side of my Wii hurt to the touch…
The Yoshi one is what forced me and my companion to cease playing Event Matches, just because that one sucked kittens.
I like Wolf too actually, I think he’s a pretty decent character, although I am probably not going to play as Falco too much just because he’s irritatingly similar to Fox, and I like Fox as a character more.
About the created stages…what happens to the CPU on them? It suddenly goes crazy and runs into spikes or misses really simple jumps…freakin’ weird.
Sigh, I just wish Brawl fulfilled everyone’s expectations. Instead of exceeding perfection, it merely flew around it. Oh well, maybe Super Smash Mayhem will feature that obscure character I desperately want in.
(P.S. Maybe I haven’t posted because my computer exploded. Think about that?!)
