Super smash bros. Brawl

I hate every last one of you.

Hahah, I won the tourney last night, first place out of 32 people (none of us had played brawl). I got a trophy, and played the game till about 3:30 last night. Woke up at 8:00 this morning to play.

Going to districts next Sat. UBER EXCITED!!!

Brawl code is in my sig, send me yours. : )

I agree with PY.

I WAS supposed to be in one of those, but the idiots at gamestop love to sell disinformation. I called them 4 different times making sure of the time and if I needed to sign up or anything. All responses = “Just show up at 9 and you’ll get to play.” That didn’t happen. Instead I got to wait out in the cold for 2hrs. with no coat or anything and watch others noob around the stage. And I took off work for that as well. I guest a local Target will have to do next time.

I do have Brawl though <3

I hate the whole lot of you so so much.

Well, of course, Tim.
That’s because you know just how much it owns.
And how much of an orgasm in the form of a video game it is.
And oh, good lord, does it rock to send people to oblivion with wario, Ike, Samus, Zelda, Shiek…
Pokemon Trainer is actually really cool.

Fuck you hard >_>

CHARIZARD! QUICK! BASH YOUR HEAD INTO THIS BOULDER!

Pokemon trainer is hilarious. >_>;

Also, Marth’s changes pissed me off at first, but he’s really grown on me.

WTF @ Meta Knight’s absurd combo for a standard A.

And Pit is the Shit. <3

Daz, I just played a bit longer, and fuck yeah, I agree with everything you said. Except… Marth was an instant hit with me, so not so much on the “pissed me off at first.”
Metaknight attacks ridiculously fast, but then again, it’s not all that much faster than Pit’s, it just fits two-three more slashes into the same amount of time. But they don’t do that much damage per hit, and his attacks don’t knock people far. I have a harder time killing people with him than I do with Shiek (And oh my god, whatever they changed about her, it’s sexy as hell. However, I got all used to dodge-rolling (or shielding) out of the throwing knife attacks, and now I’m all fucked up because, y’know, it’s like a normal attack…), where I only used to have ONE finishing move off the side of the screen. His combos are psychotic, but he’s not exactly a killer.
…and I love Ike, too. My brother hates him and thinks he’s hard to use, but I was quite good with him almost right off the bat. His up-B scares me, though. I don’t know why, it just psychs me out every time I use it.

Lol, can you actually hear what the pokemon trainer says? I can’t catch anything… Except “Yeah! Take that! Triple Finisher!” or whatever…
Which I’m pretty sure would be illegal in a pokemon match.

No thanks, Tim. Samus and Zelda and Bowser and friggin’ olimar have that covered for you every god damn time they touch the smash ball.

Well I’ve played till I gotten sick, literally. Standing out in the cold with only jeans and a tee-shirt is not working well for me at this point.

Have have to say, EVERYTHING feels so different from the last installment. Samus is still pretty good and ZSS is surprisingly strong. I’ve puit 10hrs into the sub space emissary. I won’t go into details but some of the bosses are really cool. I started out on hard so it’s taking a little longer. I think I’m close to the end.

The AI is F*CK HARD. A level 9 CPU will tear you a new one in no time. I suppose I like that because I’ll have something a little more challenging to play than what Melee offered. And theres online as well. I’ve only played once. There’s a noticeable lag but it’s easy to compensate for. The match-making service needs help. That or people need to get their ass’ online.

I’ll post my friend code tomorrow, well, make that later today @_@ ZZzzz

I agree with tim.

Hm, lotta repeating numbers for the friend code…
mine’s 3050-7272-6359
I think I’ll follow Halberd’s lead and put mine in my sig eventually.

edit: Definately a bit of online lag, btw… hopefully that resolves itself with four people with decent connections, but I can’t keep my hopes up.
Aggh, it was real bad for me… I had to hold up for at least a second to jump… it was just bad >_<

Edit 2: omfg, metaknight turns Master Hand into cheese. He air combos like hell.

That was a surprise. I expected ROB to be a pathetic but funny joke character, like Dan from Street Fighter… then I proceeded to mop the floor with everyone in sight on my first try using him. >_>; Nigh-impossible to kill the bastard, what with his absurd third jump… also great against Final Smash-spamming Lucarios.

Sorry I haven’t been able to talk about how awesome Brawl is. I’ve been playing too much.

Anyway, everything stated above, I completely agree with. Will put Friend Code in sig, following Red’s example. Good idea, Red.

The biggest thing I noticed about Brawl (Not counting design/weapon changes) is the smoothness and how “In your face” it is. Compared to Melee, it’s much smoother. The fighting actually feels like, well, fighting. No choppiness at all so far. And the fights are much more hectic. I feel like I’m being overwhelmed. In melee, I would always have a situation like “You two fight over there, We’re busy.” In Brawl, that’s completely missing. So if you’re looking for a One on One, actually pick a One on One match, otherwise You’ll be busy beating the shit out of someone, and out of nowhere, you get hit in the back by a guy on the other side of the map (or so you thought).

Brawl is a orgasm packed into a game. Best way I can put it. Oh, who else beat the Subspace Emissary already? Of course, I was playing on Normal. I guess I better start working on Hard mode…

Ok, will talk later. Need to Brawl some more.

I’m close. Hard evedently slows you down quite a bit (so does coop with a stupid little brother >_<). I’ve not had that much time to put into it back to back. Above post QTF.

No, I haven’t. I’ve decided that I want to get all the characters the “old fashioned” way first, and actually fight them to obtain them…
I just think getting them through the Subspace Emissary is… easy =/

Yes, It is…Hm…I’m betting at one point I will go ahead and unlock all the Characters by fighting them. It just seems…correct.

SPOILER!

Although, at the end of the Subspace Emissary, you fight a “dark” clone of each character, as well as several of the bosses. It’s fun, in that “Oh my god is it over yet?” kind of fun. It gets pretty tedious, and you have to choose only four characters.

END SPOILERS

@Ed, yeah, my mom came in to “watch” which eventually turned into play. Yeah, she sucked. I mean, no offense to my mom, she’s killer at Mario Party, but Brawl, heck, even Melee, is too fast-paced for her.

Also, Cloud, you were right to an extreme degree. Lvl. 9 Fox=Demonic at the very least. It’s much harder than Melee. I mean, I could down a Lvl. 9 Fox in Melee in my sleep compared to the Brawl Fox. Man! I fought him first with only Final Smashes, but since I kept getting them, and the AI basically failed at using the Landmaster to it’s full potential, I decimated the AI that round. But I thought it was too cheap, so I put on Full Items, and I got my Ass owned…

lol, yeah. Fox is frickin’ evil in brawl… and I can’t use him worth crap >_<
Tried going through classic on very hard, fox was the second person to take a life…
Then I kept all of them until I got to the stage where you fight the three opponents… and had to use a continue -_-;
And so far, I haven’t lost a single life to Master Hand on any difficulty… he doesn’t even appear to have any new moves, and the only change that has changed the way I fight him is the fact that it’s a bit harder to figure out when he’s gonna try to grab you. I dodge everything else pretty much the same.

Anyone else having any troubles doing… anything… online right now? I realize it’s probably because of the surge of people trying to access the servers, but still… it won’t even give me the “daily vault” stuff, which it sent a message to my Wii telling me to check it out and such <_<

Is it just me or does Brawl just feel more powerful? Hits seem to connect with a lot more force, leaving Melee’s feeling wimpy as hell in comparison.

Also, The Great Maze sucks, and Peach’s tea party was hilarious.

Not just you. It feels much more like I’m beating the living shit out of someone with Sheik when I trap them in combos. It actually makes it fun to fight the sandbag on the practice stage.
