That’s the reason many people use pink or black. They don’t expect to use it. But as for me, I ended up using pink and black both in my large spritesheet, so I had to use a very slightly off-pink for the background (RGB 255, 255, 254).
I choose pink mainly because not only will i never use it, it contrast nicely against light, and dark characters. But other than that, PINK=PIMP. But ill just download another animator. This is fast, but has no options.
Wow, i just downloaded unfreez. It sucks (no offense). It doesnt even let you cut and paste. You have to actually save a seperate file as a gif. And whenever i do that, it reduces the quality anyway. Does anyone have any GIF animator recommendations??
Saving each frame as a separate GIF to begin with is the best method. I use Microsoft GIF Animator.
yeah, that works most of the time, but i dont ussually take the time to do that until the very end of a project to reduce total space.
Saving a 256 color bmp as a GIF reduces color quality anyway, so that wont work.
According to the specification document I just found, GIF has 24-bit color tables. That means that you do not lose color quality when saving an image with 256 or fewer colors as a GIF.
You can save 256 “custom” colors or 255 + transparent.
You are just using a worthless program that uses som old shitty standard like the web-safe colors.
Okay, let me clear this up. I normally save my files as Bmps (thats the default for MS paint). Then, when i paste the files in the GIF animator, they become more pixelated, due to lack of a palette. If some bastard could just find me a palette making program, i would have any problems. But optimal palette (which should work) puts stupid random dots in stupid places that they shouldnt be. So i need a palette maker. But also, if i save the file as a PNG (as i usually do, because i upload the sprite sheet to the internet), and paste it in MS GIF animator, i get the same shitty pixelated results. Now, if someone could find me a fucking free halfway decent GIF animator, that would be great. Or be a fucking friend, and find me a palette maker.

Y’know, I use a handy program called IrfanView for saving still GIFs that I then import to Microsoft GIF Animator. It’s close enough to flawless for me.
Ive been super freakin mega duper flippin busy, so i havent had any time to work, or get on. Im moving to FL, so were packing, and fixing up our shack, so if i dont post anything for a friggin long time, im not dead, just working my ass off. Anyway, heres my improved sylux animation. I havent forgotton the Commandos, but i had a few minutes, and spiced it up.
Ill be moving to FL in about 13 days. Hopefully, my internet will be up in about a month. Until then, assume im dead, or locked in a closet. Ive been so flippin busy, but ill be back. Oh, and can someone leave a flippin reply???
I assume you are locked in a closet. But dont tell me what you do in there, I’m sure no one wants to know. Just kidding of course. You got some good sprites but you gotta finish a sprite project before starting a knew one. I used to have that habbit.
Your absolutley right about the sprite project thing. Too bad im already working on 2 new projects. But ill try to finish the commandos first. Here are my Noxus, and GF trooper updates. I really need helps with the troopers, because the legs are a style im not used too…yeah, you probably noticed, that they’re SAX recolors. But i think the noxus looks pretty good.
Also, im putting an end to my Sylux sprite sheet. Im not working on it anymore, so heres the final version. Im not doing anymore lockjaw sprites, so if you want me to add your lockjaw, mail it too me with your credit tag. I promise it’ll be 50-50 credit. Other than this, ill probably be locked in a closet for the next couple weeks.
I hope that ill be abe to redo weavel, AFTER the space pirate commandos, and GF troopers. Noxus will come much later.

Yes, i live for threatening people to give credit, with out it, what would i be?? Anyway, guess what…IVE BEEN SIDE TRACKED…AGAIN!! But its not what you think ladies and gentlemen. Behold, the all knew, custom Wind waker ganodorf sprite sheet…or whats complete anyway. I did this in a couple hours, so tell me what you think. I think thats enough contrast, but tell me your opinion. I just beat WW (3rd time) last night at midnight, so this morning i had that “wind sense” about me. These are my first non metroid style character sprites, so CC!!

Im glad you think they’re not too bad. I change the BK color for more dark contrast. But what do you think of these animations. They could all use some work, but tell me which ones have good points, and what they are.

edit the very first post you made and you will be able to change the title and subheader. the pimp slap is animate to slow, but that can be fixed with eaz. maybe needs more shades. I dunno, I’m not a pro at that stuff myself.
