As you can tell, the colors on yours are different.
Actually, the second pic was the one i was looking for. I already have it, but i needed a much larger version. But the colors arent that much different, and i can always use quick recolor techniques to fix it up.
I’ve been working on a side view, but there are problems with it. The leg position looks awkward. Nonetheless, i need your help again. In the Red box, i have three different shoulder positions. Which one looks the best (most accurate). One makes the shoulders look to far back (but allows for seeing more of samus’s head). The others risk not seeing enough. I’d like your opinion.
Also, i still need the enlargement from 5 posts ago.
Also, do you think the palette is sufficient??, i was considering adding a darker grey and brown shade.
if you do it sm, you should prolly make the feet the same. it looks a bit wierd now because its in a different stance then the original. also, it looks like a streight line cut off the front of her suit…
Yeah, i knew the straight line thing looked bad, but when i outlined it in black, it looked worse. I’ll try a lighter shade. And i hate the SM feet positions. I tried to emulate the MF stance…with arguable success.

Lol. In class, i usually just play computer games (it’s the one class im failing 
). But i took a couple minutes to edit the metroid sprite.
Afterschool??? My school ends at 2:45, so and on days i dont have band practice, i can usually get on till about 4:00 till my dad kicks me off. Today, i have band practice, and it’s 3:38, so i’ll probably be off in a sec. But i sprite whenever im not doing something else.

WTF?? Absolutely no replies??? Every other topic gets bumped but mine. Do you guys hate me or something??? I’ve gone throught about 4 updates without any in depth comments or criticism. Im really considering taking my work elsewhere if you guys really dont give a damn.
redhalberd, it is posts like that that make people not want to reply, and i say quite clearly THAT IS THE MOST ASSHOLE THING YOU COULD BUMP!
people will eventually comment, okay, its not all about you, and your sprites are just about the same, also, just so you know, the side view looks very squarish and plain, with no curves, it kinda is suckin, though the fron view is fine.

sheesh, a few days should only mean more practice for your spriting, and more creative time for other things.
Sigh. Your right. I was a little miffed when i wrote this, but i dont feel i cant improve at spriting without criticism. Im a fast learner, and love learning, but i cant do that without teachers and critics. I’ll try to wait longer next time, but i want to get better faster. I dont have patience to wait for comments, because I hate going back and adding things. I try to get it right the first time, so there will be minimal editing later.
But i get where your coming from on the side view. Im not sure if it’s the shading, or drawing that’s causing the problem, but i’ll see what i can do. And i’ll try not to double post in the same day ever again.

why dont you sprite other things while waiting for c+c though?
while waiting, you can always make other sprites, that way, if you really want to double post, you can have maybe 2 more sprites to post along with it, so it would be meaningful.
While your overall point is correct, DO NOT POST LIKE THAT. You are not a moderator. You do not have the authority to yell at people for rule infractions. Minimodding is an infraction in itself. If you must do that, do it more politely and calmly please.

…meh, wasn’t trying to mini-mod, wasn’t about rule infractions, just the fact that redhal was becoming a bit of a pain at the moment, anyways, it just got a little on nerves when he posted in other peoples stuff about it as well.
also, i think that the torso needs to be bigger (back) and, that the shoulder needs improvement, more depth, and general reshaping.
Sorry for this brief bout of off-topicness, but I really hate that. Minimodding is looked down upon but there are so many things to look after and we have very few commonly active mods. (Not to say that those active ones aren’t doing a fine job, it just seems to me like there are just too few of them. I just don’t know…)
Ok, the sprites. They’re ok, but they aren’t custom, more of a recolor or edit if you will. But seeing as how alot of Samus sprites made by unprofessional, non-Nintendo folk draw off of SM or Fusion sprites, I guess it isn’t a problem really.
Meh, tactfully it can be acceptible, but he was being anything but tactful.
