Actually, I dont think that’s the helmet shape. If you look closely at the officail art, it appears to be a mask with holes in it.
The shading would be from the fact that I honestly have no clue how to shade metal.

I have no real excuse for that. It just goes to show what I still need to learn about shading. Also, the shading on the Garo master looks kinda sloppy, doesnt it? No idea how to do that either. I guess it’s just practice from here.

Sigh* I’m sorry, but I really cant help you. There are plenty of spriters qualified to do the job elsewhere, just please be more patient in looking around. Pixeltendo forums might be a good place to start. Just make a sprite request in the sprite projects section.
Well, not really. It’s alot closer to my style, but not RH style. After I finish Kanden, the Dark suit, and the Noxus remake, I’ll be done with it for a long time. I’d really like to focus on M2re right now. While the team is small, it’s consistant, and the team members are extremely devoted. I’d like to see something good come of it.
tsk tsk… must everyone argue over the slightest things? anyway, tbh, im really siding with gold leader on this 1. the main reason is that if u take a look at the shading, you’ll notice that light is reflected very sharply on 1 half, and not so much on the other. If this was a regular mask, it would contrast slower.
thats just my opinion on things, but, make the decision based on what you think is the more accurate.
Ah. I see your point now. The mask it like a wedge, bent sharply outwards in the middle. It’s not exactly like the frog based helmet, but I see what he was trying to point out. Dunno if I even feel like finishing it though.
About the helmet: The shading on the art looks like it’s just bad. I don’t think they meant to show it’s a wedge, they just failed at shading it… for whatever reason.
It’s kinda lame to have a helmet that looks like it’s just a piece of metal with holes in it that someone bent in half.
I mean, there’s also the option that they suck at design, but I’m more ready to assume that they misshaded then thought of a design like that.
nice on the latest garo, but his swords are upside down if I remember right… might wanna look at that. And I might be wrong so if I am, please supply proof.
