Metroid Prime: Hunters

The three known characters:

Noxus - Species: Vhozon. Origins: Vho.

A Cold And Calculating Zealot.

Noxus is a member of the Vhozon, a proud and reclusive race that inhabit the outer rim of the galazy. A spiritual being who walks a harsh, righteous path, Noxus has become a Bounty Hunter to administer justice to the galaxy’s criminals and evildoers, to keep the scales of order from into instability and chaos.

Noxus, like his many Bounty Hunter compatriots, got the message from the Alimbic Cluster about an opportunity to find a source of ultimate power. He’s determined to get to it first, to make sure it does not fall into the hands of the lawbreakers or the unworthy.

Spire - Species: Diamont. Origins: Mondreus (sp?).

Vulnerable Outcast To Powerful Criminal.

Spire is the sole remaining Diamont, the last member of an ancient silicone-based race whose bodies are composed of organic rock. Spire’s life as a Bounty Hunter takes him from one end of the galaxy to the other, while he continually searches for some information on the location, or fate, of the rest of his people.

When he recieves a message from Alimbic Cluster, he races to that system with the hope that finding the Alimbics’ source of ultimate power, and solving the mystery of their lost race, will help him solve the mystery of his own.

Kanden - Species: Enoema. Origins: A Sinister Laboratory (No, seriously, that’s what it says).

Unbound By Morals Or Conscience- Built To Kill.

A lab experiment gone awry, Kanden was created to be the ultimate soldier, immortal and unkillable. However, stress from the neural combat encoding sequences was more than Kanden’s still-mortal brain could handle, and left him ferocious, deadly and dangerously unpredictable. Kanden broke out of the lab, and those responsible for his neurological alterations and surgical enhancements were not left alive.

Still, there is one way that a brutally efficient killer in the galaxy can not only survive, but thrive: as an intergalactic Bounty Hunter. Unbound by morals or a conscience, programmed with an instinctual drive to hunt - and kill - Kanden is one of the very best. When he gets a message of an ultimate weapon in the Alimbic System, Kanden knows that this is his chance to prove himself the finest Bounty Hunter of them all.

The three new characters:

Sylux - Species: Unknown. Origins: Cylosis

Shrouded In Mystery. Fueled By Revenge.

Little is known about the mysterious bounty hunter known as Sylux, other than the fact that Sylux harbors an intense hatred for the Galactic Federation, its republic of planets and, in particular, the bounty hunter who has helped the Federation time and time again – Samus Aran.

Sylux is cold, and ruthlessly efficient. The definition of an expert Bounty Hunter, Sylux is a rescourceful tracker and a deadly sharpshooter. After secretly tracking Samus through the galazy, Sylux follows Samus to the Tetra Galaxy hoping for a surprise confrontation. Once there, Sylux becomes tempted by the promise of a super weapon, which Sylux could use to destroy Samus Aran and then take on the entire Federation.

Trace - Species: Kriken. Origins: Kriken Empire.

The Plundering Parasite.

Trace is a Kriken, one of the most hated and feared races in the galaxy. Every Kriken, when he or she reaches a certain age, is exiled by its clan for a rite of passage. In this ritual, the youth is sent out to find a world suitable for invasion and consumption by the greedy and rapacious Krikens. Young Krikens who return having successully found a habitat for their people are regaled as heroes, and are assured a life of power, wealth, and prestige.

Trace is currently in exile for his rite of passage, which allows him to travel the galaxy looking for planets to expand the galaxy looking for planets to expand the Kriken empire. When Trace gets a telepathic call to the Tetra System, he is intrigued. He hopes the abandoned Alimbic Cluster might contain suitable worlds for Kriken invasion. He also seeks the ultimate weapon, because the more it bring to the Krikens, the more power Trace will recieve.

Weavel - Species: Cybernetic Space Pirate. Origins: Unkown.

Terminal. Desperate. And Ruthless.

Weavel was once a powerful SPace Pirate General, before he was critically wounded during and altercation between the Space Pirates and Samus Aran in the Pirate base Brinstar. With just his brain and spinal cord still functional, his only hope for survival was an experimental procedure in which his body was fused with a mobile life support system.

With his suit, Weavel regained his mobility and became powerful, deadly, and almost unstoppable. Like many other of the galaxy’s most dangerous bounty hunters, Weavel is head to the Tetra System to search for an ultimate weapon. However, nobody knows if Weavel seeks this object to increase the strength and power of the Space Pirates, or if he wants to betray the Pirates and keep the weapon for himself.

(Note: I was pretty much blindly typing all of that from half the screen I had on the Hunters page, so expect grammatical errors.)

All of these characters and I STILL can’t figure out who the hell those three are in the fricken Demo Video ;_;

Maybe all the 3D Metroid will have Prime in the name. Man, Trace is weird…

Uhh, yeah, that’s basically what he’s implying. >_>

Well, maybe not all 3d Metroid game’s, but whateva.

that dosnt really make sence though really when you think about it.
How can you call a game metroid prime without having metroid prime in it?
i know its comin back to the old topic, but i have an idea about the 3 space pirates at the end of first hunt.
prime can shape-shift by stealing suits powered with phazon, so maybe the space pirates made a powersuit to combat samus powered by phazon, but prime has managed to steal it. Now that this all might ‘weapon’ has been found, prime is determand to get back at samus so (s)hes gone to get it first.

Who knows, maybe the game will have Prime in it. I have no idea how that would relate to the story, but you never know…

…Those were Sylux, Trace, and Weavel. Only one of which is a pirate. Possibly two, since Sylux’s race is unknown, but I dunno.

you could be right but ive just compared the eyes/visors on hunters to the website and the one in the middle deffinatly has a dark hunter visor.
hmm, on the website it says noxus is part of the vhoson race, dose ne one else see the comparason?
noxus’s armour looks like its powered by phazon so maybe during the game, dark samus joins with noxus like it dose with samus in mp1

The designs changed between FH’s cutscene and the final designs. Noxus’s scythe is no longer solid and now points down, not up, and his visor got redesigned. Trace’s head now floats above his body and his spikes got longer. Et cetera. It means nothing. They just weren’t finalized yet.

mnea, well we’ll just have to wait till after xmas and see.
i just hope they fix those ghastly controls, they really should of used to lock on mode.
by usin the screen to look around, the’ve isolated 7 buttons (a,b,x,y,start, select,r) and you cant change visors and wepons as easy.

That’s not our problem.

If you guys didnt know, they released a new single player video of MPH.
I am lazy so I will post it later on.

They’re purposefully not adding lockon to make it different from MP. >_>

And Dragon–I knew about the syopsis, but they have a video now?! Sweet, where can it be located?

Teh LINK.

Scrool down to Metroid Prime hunters. You will see the word
vidio in small print, click on that.

Well, if nobody knows by now, the video is up…<_< Go look at it.

Few odd things I’ve noticed:

  1. Right when the demo thing starts, a woman goes “Ooooh!” And it creeps me out. Is that an onlooker, the player, or somehow from another game? And why…

  2. The Power Beam seems to shoot alot faster than it usually does, almost like a machine-gun-esque-brulee thing. Maybe it was just the video…

  3. The doors are different…!!1

  4. The Scan Visor is now definitely included in the full game. Thank god. I’m just confused as to how it exactly works. I couldn’t quite tell if the player was shooting with the touch-screen or the face-buttons…

And just as reminder, Wi-Fi Online play WILL be included in the final product! Wootooto!

Finally, something new. I figured it would belong in here than in a new topic v_v Don’t blame me for stupidity!

After the long month or two, a brand new Trailer has been released!

Omgzhereitis!

For those of you who use Qucktime, there might be no sound. Also, The Offscreen trailer is too dark to see anything in it, obviously it being and offscreen recording, so I suggest watching the Direct Feed…duh.

I’d really appreciate if nobody complains about the games graphics >_>

Noxus is not evil, but dark samus is

 :unamused:

Its something about these ancient weapons that Samus and the other compete for in the Ambolic Culster. I cant veiw the new video dial-up stinks.

Gamespot News! New developer interview on the game. Check out the video here.

  1. its probobly tha playa

  2. i THINK its tha lob gun
