Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

no, I don’t think so. That basically covers it. Just one question. What does EmPrime mean? Unless you meant MePrime, I do not understand. Everything else I get.

M. Prime.

Just making fun of how both guardians’ nicknames can be pronounced “em-pee”.

Yeah, that sorta makes sense.

spoilers*****

The leviathan from MP1 probably died when Metroid prime sorta blew up. Mabye the phazon energy was equivilant to what Samus dishes out in MP3.

In MP2 the leviathen disintigrated when it hit, and but apparently it still took a host after it spread phazon (or something like that). But the dark dimension went poof when Samus absorbed all of the dark energy (since the parallel dimension still used aether’s divided energy).

Anyway, I haven’t had alot of time to play lately. Im in Skytown east, just got the srew attack and ship grapple.

One of the Chozo lore called the impact crater a worm in a planet or something, The leviathen have bug like features and similar to a worm. The impact crater in Metroid Prime reminds me when you go to the leviathen landing site in MP3:C. When walking around it make that same sound, and it looks very similar to impact crater.

Hyper mode is very hard some but fun I love challenges :sunglasses: . End up in fustration trying to beat a boss in Hyper.

Yeah, that weird screeching sound.

BUT WHAT ABOUT RED PHAZON???

Why isn’t there red phazon at the core of the other meteors? Does it depend on how long the phazon is there before Red phazon is produced (but then again, apparently, there’s no red phazon on Phaaze either). I haven’t beaten the game yet, so are you guys SURE they didn’t say anyting about it?

I just beat Gandrayda and got the spiderball, and I’m about to do the pirate invasion thing.

Ok, Red, here’s my take on Red Phazon. You know when you scan those phazon blobs (forgot name)? Well, If you scan a red one, then you find out that it’s an extremely rare mutation. So the Leviathan hits Tallon IV, right? takes over a local species, blah, blah, blah, and then the Leviathan starts turning the planet into phaaze. Well, a genetic difference in the Leviathan causes it not only to produce phazon, but also produce red phazon, a much deadlier substance. The Leviathan finds this new phazon a threat, and learns how to stop producing it (it finds it threatening because it was built to survive in blue phazon), so red phazon only exists at the center of the impact site. So Samus shows up, and destroys the leviathan, thus ending the corruption on the planet, which destroys this mutation of Phazon, but genetic defects occur in species that have absorbed phazon, and you get the Red phazon blobs (still can’t remember name! someone tell me the name, I’m having a mental block). That’s my take on red phazon. I just went through phaaze again (veteran mode), and I didn’t see any red phazon, but next time, I’ll keep an eye out for it.

They’re Phazoids. Also that 1337 Commander dude had extremely rare red phazite armor.

Btw, I like the way you can use the screw attack as a melee weapon. It’s hard to do sometimes but kills most anything. You side dash jump forward then screw them >:3

Yeah, the screw attack is more manuverable this time around.

But I assume that the leviathan that hit Tallon V was probably just a rare mutation or something. But the red phazon is only produced immediately inside the crater where the concentration of phazon is greatest. Either way, it’s probably just a one time thing (like the phazoid mutations).

By the way, somebody PLEASE send me some friend vouchers.

In an all around nutshell, that’s what I said. Oh, and thanks for telling me the name, Ed.

I would send you a voucher, but my connect24 is on the fritz. As soon as I fix it, I’ll let you know.

I’ll give you sixteen if you give me sixteen.

Sure, that’s fine, but you haven’t appeared on my friends list yet (I’ll check tommorow). I think I have about 12 so far, so I’ll send you all the ones I have. I’ve already sent two, one to troid, and one to someone else.

I sent you 2 yesterday, Red.

Ah, sorry. I haven’t been playing MP3 much, but I have some vouchers I could give out. I need a lot, too, but I’m in no hurry to get them. It might not be until Thursday (or later) that I can send you one in return, Red, as I’m pretty busy on weekdays.

I just fixed my connect24, so when I get the voucher you sent me, I’ll send you one, Red.

I just sent him eight.

And I bought with the eight he sent me, bumpers stickers, a bobble head, the screen shot tool, and two dioramas.

Thanks guys, though some of you haven’t registered on my friends list yet (and some of the vouchers haven’t arrived). I’m not sure how many more vouchers I have, but I’ll send vouchers to anyone that sends me some.

Edit:

I just beat the game. 10:30 96 percent. Need to go back and find those last 4 power ups (though I dunno where 2 of them are).

Omega Ridley was the most awsome boss ever. Just period. He was almost as much fun to watch as to fight. The last boss fight didn’t feel as epic. honestly, it was way to easy, and not as satisfying to fight (though Dark Samus wasn’t a bad fight).

The ending felt a little abrupt, but not really compared to other games. Admiral Dane was extremely corny, and felt like intentional bad cliche.

I’m still extremely satisfied with the game, though the ending felt like it came to quickly (After the whole pirate base thing, it felt like you were suddenly on attacking phaaze). The graphics really are amazing, even if not compared to 360. The framerate only dropped about 6 times in the whole game, mostly during cutscenes.

Also, it felt like certain powers were barely used at all (hyper grapple, x-ray visor, command visor). I never got to shoot anyone with the ships missles.

But yeah, just some thoughts.

you think the last boss was easy??? try it on hyper difficulty it will 1337 pwnz0rz y0u (if you survive dark Samus Mwahahahahahaaaaaa)

It may be more difficult but you should not say “if you can get past dark samus”
because i am sure many people have. Also if you are stuck on t make it simple and just say it.
(you should not laugh at others.)
(if you were,if not i apologize.)

The last boss will still be easy on hypermode, simply because it’s attack patterns are way to predictable, and easy to dodge. It was uber dissapointing. Omega Ridley was a hundred times more awsome.

Do you get the power bomb in Mertoid prime 3 ???
