… I think you’ve seen some scenes I haven’t, then. Most of the recent stuff was untranslated when I watched it. Got a link handy?
I figured you hated Fusion, go fig. But they seem to be taking a lot of inspiration from Fusion for this one.
Well, while it’s not entirely comparable, Starcraft II for instance had a lot of completely different VOs from the trailers and beta to the final game. So maybe there’s hope yet for that, though I wouldn’t bet on it changing this late.
I figured it was just to an interview that said something about the cutscenes, so I didn’t watch it since I already knew that >_>;
I gotta admit… dialogue or otherwise, I still feel good about the cutscene direction. I still get chills when Baby dies, no matter how many times I see it or know it’s coming. The way Samus reaches out to it… ;_;
… “Ressent past”?
Don’t see what’s so bad about “the moves I remember.” I expected it to be Samus awkwardly saying that after regaining an attack. He’s just complimenting her, saying she’s as good as he recalls…
The “authorizing” system sounds possibly even worse than I feared. I figured it’d be for a few items and you’d still find others yourself. :\
By the way, 072, the voice for Samus where she says “Time to go, mother!” or whatever has already changed, like, three times since we first saw that scene.
And also, when you were complaining about the “Those are the moves I remember!”
…I kinda thought you were talking about someone more important than the quarantine officer.
Edit: By the way… The way she said Zebes made me cringe D= I’ve never even thought of saying it like that, and everyone I know says it with a long first E. Like, Zeebs.
Though I suppose that pronunciation is a little less bland.
Um… it’s been pronounced this way several times in the past. Plus it’s in line with the Japanese for it. Hell, it was Zebeth in the NES one, which couldn’t be “Zeebth” or whatever with that spelling, right?
I think the idea is she’s working for them again? Or maybe it’s a mix of flashbacks with modern times, with flashbacks involving the troops and modern being alone?
On another note, I’m curious about missiles. I noticed in the ComicCon demo that my bombs were the Prime-style glowing blue energy balls of exploding nova death rather than the lamer-but-classic capsules. I couldn’t really tell about the missiles though, if they were Prime-style or actual physical missiles.
Hi, I’m alive. That piece of art is quite beautiful, other than a few faults but I’m not going to be picky.
Anyway, Adam is only with you in the beginning. He will “authorize” missiles and bombs eventually, then you split up, and will run into him and the rest of the guys again several more times in the game, where it’s traditional lonely metroid and weapons are pick-up style.
The game will have flashbacks, but so far none have playable parts… from what I saw and heard, apparently “something” big and deadly is attacking the ship and killing scientists, which is why the Federation is there. I don’t know if this goes for the whole game or if you kill it early and discover more things going on where Samus would need to stay.
Also, the accel. units or energy parts (I think accel units) which were discussed earlier I believe, will increase the speed you charge your charge beam. Also you can dodge in first-person.
And Daz, I’m assuming the missiles are like they were in Prime 3. Not like Prime, but not exactly classic style either.
There were continue points in Corruption, but its not teh warst gaem evar, hell most people don’t even view it as the worst Prime game or Metroid game.
Not entirely Other M-related, but I am sort of starting to understand where the anti-dialoguers come from after reading this. I think it might be going a bit overboard (never seen Kane but from its reputation alone…), and I disagree entirely about the lack of importance about the origins and mechanics (of COURSE space pirate heirarchy matters you dumb shit >_>) because I love reading their explanations of how stuff works, but it’s an interesting read nonetheless.
Prime 3 was great. Only thing I disliked was the lack of an interesting beam (Ice), the fact there was no water which is very important in a Metroid game along with lava, and the final level and final battle was slightly disappointing.
072 I love ya and all but I am coming to the point where I can safely assume your opinion sucks.
