Uh, you do realise that Halo 2 made $125 000 000 during the first 24 hours of market. It was and still is the highest grossing release in entertainment history. And, in my opinion, the best video game ever created. I call that pretty damn revolutionary.
Anyways… I’m really happy that they’ve chosen Vin Diesel as Agent 47…xD… He needs to lose some muscle, seriously. As for the Metroid movie, GL is right, cross your fingers and hope for teh best.
He meant revolutionary “gameplay”… it made it big but FPS had been done, Driving vehicles had been done, shooting aliens had been done, multiplayer deathmatch online had been done. Maybe it was the fact that it combined them all in one or maybe it was the story/graphics immersion level but it somehow struck a cord with the unsuspecting public.
To tell you the truth I never really got that into Halo for the same reason GL is saying, when I first played it it just felt like playing Half Life with Vehicles/ bigger world and better graphics. It wasnt a bad experience but it didnt really “suck me in”. Maybe I didnt “force myself” to play it long enough … but oh well, to each his own …
The reason it was so revolutionary was because it combined all of those things so perfectly and crisply. And there was hardly any loading time, compared to most Xbox games. Every aspect of the game was considered, not to mention that Gamespot said it had the Online to start Online.
