amen, if it sucks as bad as doom…yeah…were all dead. i really hope john woo doesn’t do this one like mission impossible 2, lol…hm…could metroid find a good pace to play onscreen…? i think metroid is meant to be a game thing only…anyone else ever see super mario brothers movie?..yeah…i like metroid a lot…but i am almost certainly sure that the movie will suck, i mean…if somehow we went out and killed all the bad directors…and all those not meant for the metroid movie…maybeit wouldn’t suck…but still it just doesn’t seem right for a movie. 
if it does suck, i will cry lots and lots. so much, that it will make the tsunami seem like a puddle. about sarah m.g, she does look like samus, in one of the endings of metroid fusion. you know, the one with her helmet off…

that will probably be true. i mean, nintendo whent mad after seeing the mario movie, it was totaliy fucked up nufin like the games. they will probably make metroids blue and samus gravity suit green.
The problem is Metroid is an I-persona game … theres relatively no intelligent interaction or conversation.
From what I’ve seen from the videos of Metroid Prime 3 it looks like theyre trying to change that. Samus working with another hunter and special “events” happening is beginning to make it look/feel a little more cinematic. I suspect they may be attempting to transion Metroid to a movie-style format so a Metroid Movie will then make sense and be a possibility.
Personally… I think I would actually enjoy a “Silent” Metroid Movie where Samus is as alone as she is in the games and you watch her perform tasks, fight bad guys, fall down holes/climb mountains, find technology etc… all the time not saying a word. Its unorthadox and would probably never happen but I think it would make a nice movie if done right.

The movie has been ANNOUNCED, people. That means that the movie IS NOT IN PRODUCTION YET. The estimated release date of the movie is 4Q of 2007…not December 06. That is, if the movie is going to be made.

Really? Halo and Hitman movies? I thought that they was just liscensed and not even announced. But seeing how Doom went, I’m guessing that Metroid, Halo, and Hitman JUST MIGHT come out…
Peter Jackson is directing … or co-directing Halo I heard. If its true then theres a LOT of potential for Halo Movie being the best Game-Movie ever.
