Samus doesn’t need to dodge it! She can just lock on and destroy it that way. It will explode before it reaches her. As for your last little part, saying that some cyborg with an AI in his head can stand up to something that can destroy about anything in the universe is ridiculous. And as for Halo, Metroid also lowers the Characters ability for Gameplay.

Where does it say that MC’s suit powers itself? Second, we go back to the dodging factor. She can dash left to right. Thats all she needs to do. And as for your parenthesis, I don’t have to try. Samus can track by Sound, X-ray, and Thermal. And now we go back to the whole does it move 100 FPS? I doubt it. If Chief can dodge it from 20 feet(and I know he can), so can Samus. No matter the situation, Samus would win. Close or long range.

There’s quite a bit that points towards MC’s suit powering itself. First of all, and most obviously, the suit weighs tons. It would be impossible for even a cyborg to move it as fast as the cheif moves. It has to be powered armor.
The novels also state that the suit uses a powered crystallized matrix in the second layer that moves with the user, doubling strength and quintupling speed.
Something we can all agree on is that Samus would likely win full strength against Master Chief (In the Halo and Metroid Prime games) meaning Samus would have all of her power-ups and Chief would have, well the best weapon(s) suited for the situation. And Chief would likely win against Samus in both of their weakest forms, Samus only has the power beam that can travel a short distance (Zero Mission) and Chief has no weapons, but he can melee which would do a hell of alot of damage against Samus.

Chief can dodge a poorly aimed rocket at twenty feet. Samus cannot. Your fanboyism
(“Samus would win, no matter what range”) is pretty obvious, as is the fact that Samus
has NO longe range weaponry. She wouldn’t stand a chance at long range, if Chief had
even the Battle Rifle (or pistol, they are basically the same.)
The rocket moves at 100 FPS because I say it does. To clarify, anyone who has any
inkling of Small Arms knowledge would know that that is approximately how fast it
moves. The M-4C’s bullet travels 3,000 FPS, faster than any Human can track. A BB gun’s projectile travels about 400-1250 FPS, the lower end of the spectrum being marginally noticeable to one paying close attention. Comparitively, the RL’s rocket moves 100FPS, and is clearly visible to the naked eye. That and it covers 100 in-game feet a second.
At twenty feet, Samus would have 1/5 a second to react. Chief, being much faster than her, can put a foot or two between himself and the rocket in that time, making a poorly aimed shot into a less fatal injury. Samus might move a few inches in that time.
Hmm, what if Chief had the Scarab Gun? Samus would be gone in a matter of seconds.

Your Fanboyism is obvious as well. Samus has many long range weapons. Annhilator beam. Sonic Boom. Missle. Almost all of her weapons are long range. It depends on the upgrades. If Samus is at her full potential in any of the Metroid games, She would win. I have pointed this out time and time again. By Metroid Prime Standards, Samus would win. First, her armor already is stronger than MC’s. So we put her in Her most powerful setting. Phazon Suit, Phazon Beam, and all her visors. Not only could she wipe out MC with that, she has the Scan Visor. It only takes a few seconds to scan. She would find the weak spot, and bye-bye Master Chief. Metroid Prime 2 Standards. Light Suit, Annhilator Beam, Sonic Boom. All visors from the game. Annhilator beam homes in. Sonic Boom is so fast, not even Flying troops can dodge it. If you tell me MC is faster than Flying troops, You are going by the novels. We are comparing the two in thier Game format. All the 2D games, Samus would win. How do I know? TONS OF ENERGY TANKS! I’m pretty sure a Fanboy would not know half of this.

Apparently, your knowledge of what a fanboy is is about as extensive as your knowledge on how Kevlar works.
By long range, I mean REAL long range, not your view of long range. I mean a mile away (minimally) kind of range. The Sonic Boom is SLOW. The bullet from Chief’s Sniper Rifle travels at least 3,000FPS, or a mile in less than two seconds. The SB would take minutes to move such a distance.
And if you wish to use the transparent ‘reason’ that Samus can shoot down Chief’s rockets, so could he to her missiles. Really, her missiles travel about as fast as Chief’s RL rocket. The key difference is that Samus’ weapons have travel time, making it impossible to hit the rocket ‘til it is close. Chief could snipe off one of Samus’ missiles from the aforementioned mile away (more, actually.) Tons of energy tanks, as you mentioned them, would be gone in a single hit from the RL, to be closer to exactitude, it would be at least 699, likely more like 1199.
Of course they can’t dodge the beam from the distances you can engage them at in the game. But, Chief would be fighting at well beyond Samus’ beams’ range, and could kill her with impunity. I’d like to see you dodge a shot from a modern-day M-4C at twenty feet. Actually, I’d be thrilled to see you dodge it at 1,550 feet (you can’t.)
And if you are looking for a Human weakness, I’d suggest the head. It DOES house the brain, after all. Chief’s armor is only un-uniform in strength on his head.
Somebody should settle this once and for all. (No, sorry I don’t mean me.) Someone should go right now and make a game that has Samus and MC in it, with all their powerups and as similar to the real games as possible and have them square off. Like a simulator. It would be a great fangame idea…

That’s a pretty bad idea, seeing as the creator of the fangame will subconsciously put the player that they are ‘biased’ for stronger.

but like i said, noob combo would kill samus. if you hit her with charged plasma pistol, shield goes all the way down
and samus’ health is energy, so if the shield is down, she’s ded.

maybe if samus had say…3 energy tanks, charge beam, missiles, morph ball, bombs, and varia suit,(along with all the visors) and cheif had overshield, max health, and a wepons cache, then it might be fair…
i say cache because samus has a buttload of “health,” and to get it down, he might need more options. samus, on the other hand would only need charge beam and missiles to finish the job
