Hunter vs. Spartan 117

Game-wise is idiotic. For a game, the abilities have been toned down to keep it from being too easy.

If you could run a kilometer in a second or break a hunter in half, the game’d be boring.

If you’re doing an honest comparison, you have to use actual information, not gameplay.

The problem with that, though, is that Samus’s only upgrade you can compare to real life would be the flamethrower. And maybe power bombs… But… It wouldn’t exactly be fair to improve all of MC’s weapons and leave Samus’s to be the same.

1–This is Prime style. We’ve already been over this.

2–They’re slow, and weak. A terrible combination.

I never said anything about Master Chief’s weaponry. His guns are almost exactly as described in the books. It’s his ABILITIES that are improved.

Samus has weapons at advanced as the Covenant’s, and limitless ammmunition, as well. Hers don’t need imrpovement.

i know. its wierd.
and you’re right. samus’ weapons are already so f—in powerful already

Actually, a hit from Chief’s AR would do more damage than a power beam hit.

Probably not a charged beam hit they do, what 15 times as much as the normal hit in 1/3 the time?

well yeah, that is just a tad more powerful…
and i dont know if the power beam is or not, the ar kinda sux…

Agreed. The AR is bad, but, (assuming you can hit anything) it hurts more per shot than the power beam.

i disagree. the ar is not acurate, i know, but grunts can stl take a lot of fire from sustained bursts or like 3 or 4

You have to realize that a grunt (red) on Normal has a good chunk of Chief’s health, and can take 5 AR bullets to kill it. In fact, Chief’s non-shielded form can only take 15 AR bullets, but he could take 60 Power beam hits without shields.

In bursts, the AR is fairly accurate, servicable for up to 35 feet or so, assuming you aim with as much of the retice on the enemy as possible.

samus would win she rocks!!! :astonished:

Please don’t make such idiotic posts here. We’re having an intelligent discussion based on stats and details from all sources. I think I’m less intelligent after reading that biased borderline spam adding nothing at all.

ohkay

how do you figure? i dont know anywhere where someone said that

In MP2 multiplayer, a Power Beam hit does 1 damage. So, if 3/5 of his energy is health, he can take about 60 Power Beam hits while unshielded.

Makes sense…

Wow. Quite the discussion we’ve got going here.

Samus would win, of course!! SHE’D POWER-BEAM HIS ARMOR-PLATED ASS!!

is hit by a brick for spamming

AGH! Sorry… XD

Anyway, all silliness aside, I’d like to put in my opinion - in a moderate-range-starting-point (ten meters from each other in this case) encounter with Master Cheif equipped with a rocket launcher and SMG/other small-arms, and Samus from Metroid Prime equipped with the Varia Suit, Missile Launcher, Power Beam, and around 100 missiles… well, let’s just go over it.

If Master Cheif launches a rocket at Samus, Samus leaps out of the way (Both of them are from the video games - the rocket doesn’t move nearly as fast as it would in real life there). Samus fires a missile from that range, the Cheif leaps over it, as it’s fairly slow as well. Samus uses the power beam and Master Cheif’s shields might get knocked down, but he would probably launch a rocket then, forcing Samus to dodge, interrupting her fire and giving Cheif a chance to regain his shielding.

It all really comes down to wether Master Cheif can get her into short range - she wouldn’t stand a chance then. She wouldn’t be able to dodge his shots and he would be able to hit her with a melee attack. Her own suit doesn’t make her as strong as him, so she wouldn’t be able to defend herself hand-to-hand. Even just out of hand-to-hand range would work, though - he could still hit her reliably then. However, if she managed to stay out of range and keep pummelling him with the Power Beam, she could knock his shields down, dash forward while firing, and hit him with a missile/super missile before he could do anything.

Extreme-long-range (100 meters, again, in this case) with Master Cheif with the sniper rifle would probably result in a Cheif victory. Of course, Samus could always close the gap between them, making the sniper rifle less effective.

So, close range and long range, cheif victory, but at moderate range (at least under the parameters of my own little battle here), I say Samus. If Cheif could get her two feet away from him she wouldn’t stand a chance, but as long as she could keep her distance she’d wear him down.

In a realistic confrontation, I have no idea at all. I’ll leave that up to you experts

experts? i wouldn’t go that far…
anyway, i think you make a good point. however, some people on xbox live are extremely good with the sniper rifle, and can kill others at 20 feet with ease, and without using the scope.

People like me. :stuck_out_tongue:

By the way, it’s “ooh-rah!” not “hoo-wah”, for your sig. :stuck_out_tongue:
