I dont know what the problem Is the new demo works on one computer but not on my laptop. The laptop is still windows and a celeron prosesor. And It can play the old demo and game maker without any problem. What hapens is it will start the program normaly but once I try to do anything but move around It wont work (only the arrow keys work).
That doesn’t mean that the demo doesn’t work, you just have to set your keys. Press numpad . to enter the pause menu and set your keys.
Don’t have a numpad . key? look at this: http://www.microsoft.com/enable/training/w…kturnonuse.aspx
(turn num lock on)
So all users should be able to play the game now.
Why did you remove some of the environment backgrounds along the course of the development (examples: the ring and some other equipment outside the frigate, the escape pod entrances, asteroids)?
Noticed that if you stay in the beginning area for a long time Samus’s ship will start to rise above the fire coming from its exhaust.
And also I just can’t get used to Samus’s running animation. It’s as if there’s a hunchback underneath that suit. I don’t mean to sound like a dick by complaining about this but I’m sure there are others who would agree.
I am preaty sure it was made to be like that and it’s just how samus runs
Well, originally the sprite was standing up straight, and it looked “stiffer than a priest in a playground” (Dazuro Gheneri). So then the hunch was added, and now it looks a whole lot better, like somebody actually running. If you want to see a bigger hunch, go look at the Zero Mission Samus ![]()
Not in the other games… IN other Metroid games, she runs normal. Not pregnant. ![]()
i found a glitch in the 2.02 version. if you press the key opposite to the way you are facing just as the screen scrolls you wind up stuck in the door. i have a screen of it i will update this post later today with that screen.
Wasn’t this already discovered?
Yes. Many, many times. It’s one of the easiest glitches to find.
Is it true that another update will be coming soon?
Yes. And DF has a surprise, which I guess was what was revealed a few days ago.
Er, I think I missed that surpise, what was it?
Tallon Overworld.
So, you get to play around in Tallon Overworld? Cool. ![]()

Wow that’s a lot of progress since last time. I can’t wait.
Whooaaa…
Cool glitch: if you jump into a door, and press back, you’ll be stuck in the door a bit above the ground. Press down, then jump, and you’ll be on top of the door, with your head stuck in the ceiling. If you do this as you go from room 3 to room 2, and then morph and press right, you’ll go through the tile above the door! It’s wallcrawling! <<;
EDIT: Roll through a door in morph ball, and press back before you go in. You’ll go through the door again before it closes!
EDIT2: Mochball works in here, too… run, jump, morph, and land. You’ll keep rolling at running speed.
Mockball was already discovered, and so was wallcrawling with SWs, just with… a different strategy (run in the door from the other side). I’ll have to try that other method before DF posts the next demo with the fixed doors.
A kinda cool thing I figured out, is that you can go through that tile even without getting stuck in the door. Just run at it, jump and morph in the air, you’ll go through, and you can unmorph and just keep running on the other side. Very cool once you pull it off. =D
Glitch similar to yours, Timaster: In room 3, run and jump into the door leading to room 2, and turn around quickly. If you did it right, you’ll be jumping away from the door during the transition. Continue holding back, and you’ll be above and a little bit inside the door. Crouch and jump, and if you did it right, you’ll go through the door transition again and get stuck in the ceiling of room 3. Kinda hard to do, usually I just end up immediately going back to room 3.
