I see. It was a little undetailed. The shoulders look beautiful. So does the arm cannon. More importantly, does it move smoothly?
By the way, what program is this running on?
I like the style you have going on, looks good so far.
I’m quite picky I admit it, but the green thing on the thigh is too big and too far down. The gun’s contour could still be smoothened down though. Apart from that, good job!
** The more I look at it, the more flaws I see… The foreleg and thigh on the right might need thinning down, and look slightly disproportionate to the body. If you want more nitpicking, there isn’t those lights on her calves… And maybe push the left foreleg one pixel back.**
The torso is magnificent though. I’ll soon repost the MF remake sprites that I did earlier.
Here you are.
Samus looks way too skinny in that!
That sprite looks very… P2D, 072, well done!
Got a small surprise for you guys.

It’s a run through the latest build of the demo, this video shows the progress we’ve made in the workplace.
- new start screen, game selection screen
- new tileset
- updated effects
- updated game engine (though you can’t see it in the movie)
Of course much more progress was made in the workplace, mostly about the escape sequence. The escape sequence is not included in the movie, don’t want to spoil it too much, you’ll just have to do with the screenshots on the site.
I think you should really make the doors more like in Prime.
You know… make them turn grey once shot, instead of glowing even after they open, for one thing.
And make them not open until you’re in front of them.
…
Right.
What?
That’s how Prime does it.
And it would prevent you from running through a room shooting, and finding no door at the end because it opened from a stray shot.
Shots wouldn’t open the door unless they are on-screen.
The demo says otherwise.
And either way, they should open like in Prime for accuracy’s sake if nothing else. You lose absolutely nothing by doing it that way, after all.
I think closing / not opening when Samus isn’t around is a good idea, as long as a grayed out door will open in time for a full-speed Samus to not be stopped by it.
Um, Prime didn’t do that to be cool, it did it because the next room can’t load unless Samus is near the door. We don’t have that problem.
And it makes very little sense anyway.
So? It’s for accuracy’s sake, and it’s distracting if they open ahead of you.
Besides, it makes fine sense. Shots disrupt the energy field, and proximity triggers the auto-open.
Okay, so let’s make the doors wait 5 seconds before opening… for accuracy’s sake. And let’s make Samus really really slow.
I like how you completely ignore most of my points towards it.
For everyone that can’t view it, you need VLC media player. Google it.
Works for me with WMP. >_>
But WMP sucks.
Be that as it may, VLC is not a necessity as you implied/outright stated.
It IS a necessity for everyone that, as I stated, “can’t view it”. I was assuming the use of WMP, Quicktime, and Winamp.
