:astonished:

Fine, staves, whatever. I know that “staves” is the correct plural of “staff”, but most people have never even hear or read the word “staves”, so I just say or type “staffs”.

<_< Thar be ur fish.

Might need some recoloring, now that I look at it again, but meh.

I’m working on a new Sentry Drone as we speak, and I might do the Spinner if Trans doesn’t.

Hahaha, the “being eaten by a Pirate” face!

:<

There, I recolored it for Dazzy, he said I could, so we should be good.

Looks okay, but his eyes seem a bit too big… and isn’t he more green?

I also seem to remember him being more pale.

Well, they’re visible in three ways–frozen, underwater, or in a dark room. No way to get good color references.

Since it appears in-game in a dark room, I think it best to get color references from that.

It appears in 3 places in-game, frozen, underwater, or in a dark room.

… but I thought it was the pirate’s lunch from Lab Hydra?

Yes. It appears on a plate in a dark room, but the same creature is also found in the wild. >_>

Whatever. I thought the one in the lab was cooked or something.

Anyway, here’s what I’ve done for Zebes in the holograph system:

The only difference between the two is that the left one has a black outline around the planet itself.

They both look great…
I’d stick either an alpha, or better yet, a blend mode on it, though, so a mockup would be handy when it eventually comes to choosing.

I don’t think MSPaint handles alpha., though it could be easily added via GIMP or Photoshop via a new layer. I’d recommend an opacity somewhere between 75% and 85% if you want to try a mockup right now.

Oooh, very nice. The outline looks like crap, but the other one is great. :3

Transition: I can’t get the fanfare chords to work.
But yeah, Zebes looks great.

Yeah, and I can’t open the original file properly either… =/

Regarding Zebes, should I make multiple sprites for a rotating anim?

If it rotates ingame, why not? It’d look cool.

… Uh… jeeze.

That’s … a lot bigger than I thought, and a HELL of a lot bigger than Sephi’s. >_>

Semi-unrelated: I remember once upon a time, everyone was bitching that the game’s metroids were too small.

Actual size. At least we won’t have to be inaccurate if we want menacing metroids. :3
