Decided to actually do something for a change.
Nose shorter, and maybe a shorter body. I’m assuming that is it without the giant glowing “shoot me here” butt?
The butt should be longer, but I believe the rest of it is correct. Well-done, 072! (It’s pretty!)
This is without the butt for now (couldn’t find any good images with it, the reference I used was like this).
I’ll make the nose and body a bit shorter.

A.) I made this at some point recently when I got the chance. Purposely not from this round’s AotM list because I figured those ones would be taken by the time I got back.
Several radiation collectors are in the Hall of the Elders room. I’m not looking forward to spriting all the different angles, even if I cheat a little. Any advice on texturing the middle area?
B.) Many thanks to Zurginator and others for keeping this running. I’m already swamped with work to do over the winter break, so I can’t guarantee I’ll be on much even then.
C.) The planets aligned and gave me no homework tonight. Yes, it felt great.

Looks good so far, Troid. Not sure what to say about texturing because I was never really good at it, but you might want to try a combination of the techniques Sloth used in some of his old stuff.

I found these on the WayBack Machine. I didn’t think it had actually saved any of the resources on the old site, since none of them have ever seemed to work, but by chance I encountered those at a random date. Perhaps it would be possible to dig up more?
The old resource pages also listed the authors, so I have a to-do list of fixes to be made to the sprite lists.

(It’s not supposed to leave the trails, but Photobucket didn’t like the transparent color. Those particles should be programmed anyway)
Mainly I’d suggest taking a look at the colors and vine-like pattern, more so from the second one. The current phazon tiles being worked on are pretty good, though. They’re just slightly too intense in color, in my opinion, and I think the vines should be larger and more distinguishable like in the phazon patch above. Larger tiles overall might help (around 80x80 even), even if only to “eliminate the grid” a little.

yeah, i like my phazon, but when i went back into prime and prime 2 and got up close to the phazon, i realized it was rather off
