After re-playing MP2E I really like it more than before only it didn’t gived me the ‘‘magic feeling’’ that Metroid Prime had…
what do u mean magic feeling
Metroid Prime. An excellent translation into the third dimension. Has a feeling and ambiance more like previous Metroid games (release date wise) than Metroid Prime II.
Must… resist… pressing warn button…
According to the rules, there isn’t any warning fee for spamming, so I guess I can’t do anything about it. >_<
Anyway, Metroid Prime is my favorite, as my first experience was the greatest thing I could ever remember. After that comes Super Metroid, since it is reletively flawless, but my experience wasn’t the same as Prime. Then comes Echoes, because it is also a great game, harder bosses, more unique landscapes, better graphics, but it also had the same repetitive structure: Find the 3 keys, beat the level boss, go to U-Mos. After that comes Metroid, which for its time had to be the greatest game ever. You can’t really understand Metroid until you finally beat it, without using maps or cheats. Then comes Zero Mission, which is a fun game, but the only thing unique about it is the suitless samus aspect. After that comes fusion, which I still like, but I’d rather fight the X-parasites without a computer holding my hand the whole way. I’ve never played MIIRoS. I plan on buying it ASAP.
Er, Zero-Seven, there is a warning fee, but that wasn’t spam… >_>;
Super Metroid is about as flawless as a llama wearing a top hat on its dong.Zero-Seven. Hehe. ^.^
I’m not sure what to call it, it’s kinda a mixture between a few things. But it was pointless none-the-less.
Was that comment about super directed good or bad at my part? >_>
It was mostly just to justify the post’s existence. <<;
So your saying Super Metroid isn’t flawless? ![]()
Ofcourse, it isn’t perfectly flawless, but there aren’t too many things they can do to make it better.
Besides making the physics not suck ass, item selection not be a pain, music not be boring save for two songs, taking away Ridley’s beard, making the game actually hard in any way save the second Ridley… Yeah, you’re right. >_>
Whatever, I think Super Metroid is great the way it is.
And Ridley has a beard because he is actually Osama in disguise. >_>
I agree, I think Super Metroid has a special feeling that both MP and MP2 lacks. It has a connection to Metroid and Metroid 2 and the story feels like it’s based on the two first games. MP and MP2 dosen’t really feel like they have anything to do with the other games exept they are feauturing the same characters. Don’t get me wrong, I thing MP and MP2 are great games but they don?t really have that “Metroid”-feeling.
Super Metroid is simply, in my opinion, the best Metroid game.
Super Metroid for the 2d series. Metroid Prime for the 3d series (so far…)
Fo real.
I love Super Metroid. Best Game Ever.
I prefer Metroid Prime 2 Echoes BECAUSE everything was deadlike. It’s no fun when everything’s so happyish. There’s not enough OMFG I’m going to die in the next room, and there’s no HOLY COW I SURVIVED YAY in Prime.
In terms of 2d, I enjoyed Super Metroid more than anything else…Metroid1 is nigh-impossible for me, and Metroid2…is also nigh-impossible for me. Though it was very original.
Fusion was fun, difficult, but the stupid computer couldn’t be turned off. I WANT AN OFF SWITCH FOR ADAM! He talks too much. Zero-Mission was so fun, cause I sequence breaked at least 4 times on my first run…but after a while killing sprees just don’t appeal to me anymore.
I’ve played all of the Metroid games so far, and i really do like Echoes more than anything else.
Hey, it didnt let me vote!? What!?
Oh well …
Anyways, I know alot of this has probly been said already, but whatever.
Metroid Prime Echoes had that feeling, as stated in the above post, HOLY SHIZA I am gonna get RIPPED APPART. Most everything was aggresive and wanted to eat your brains. Also, the graphics were awesome, the AI was pretty good and the atmosphere was scary. BUT … But … the story sucked. I thought it was absolutly retarded. And Dark Samus? What? Lets cause meaningless damage and shoot at stuff pointlessly and charge up with phazon and … how did phazon get there anyways? What was the purpose behind that? Nonsense.
Moving on. Metroid Prime was great. Like Daz stated earlier on in this topic, it had something. This weird feeling you get when you play it. It looked into the Chozo civilization, gave insite into the pirate ways, and had a crap load of insite about metroids. The whole fact that the last big bad boss of the game was a metroid itself was cool. As for 3d Metroids … Prime 1 was my fav.
For an all time favorite I am gonna have to go with Fusion.
Absolute best. Scared the freakin crap out of me.
I remember sitting on my couch in the living room at night, the only light coming from my GBSP, nobody around, headphones on, windows dark … and being so scared I wanted to run and hide. Nothing has captured that feeling like Fusion did. It was awesome. I wish they would make a 3d version of it.
I still have to go with my vote on super metroid because of the idea that there are no Quest or people tell ing you where to go you roam around do what you want really.
