i dont think the meteor suit is such a good idea, and ghost ball could be used as a sort of temporary powerup (like being shot through walls and stuff), acid beam sounds cool, and spider ball sprites will most likely just be edits of mine.

also, i think i will introduce adam in this possibly.

at the beginning, a ship is sent to investigate, and no contact is made, why not make it so that the person who introduces you to this possible bounty be adam?

hell, i might even be able to put adam’s entire story (death and all) into it.

what u guys think about adam being in this one?

that would be awsome! just dont make him annoying like the computer was. i wonder how he acctually died. anyway, spider ball sprites are here, took like 4 mins to find them.

oh, and i remember, fusion has srx tiles, you could use them, since they look like sr388, and theres lava and the rest there. in fact, i think i have those tiles somwhere.

but with arachnus, i remember in m2 concept art, arachnus neck and hed were red. will that be changed in the remake?

thats good and all, but i was going to use edits, so frame-by-frame they would remain equal to regular ball.

i really need the zm style m2 ship though.

Smartdude, you could always just find the original sprite and “spruce it up a bit”. Just give it the kind of cartoony colors ZM had, along with those red glowing lights on the landing gear. Hell, add a glow to the cockpit too.

Edit: Found it, err… Part of it. It’s a screenshot that’s exactly 1/4 bigger than the actual thing, plus its only half of it. But I duplicated the half and saved it as a PNG. problem is, though, is that I don’t know how to change the color pallet. Grey still comes up as that wierd yellowish GB color and the others do the same but differ according to darkness. Any suggestions?

Ok, well, it seems like there’s some confucion about hwo the ship is colored. It’s yellow, wooderson. It’s basically the super metroid ship without those three big landing pads on the bottom.

i was just tired so i just took to colours from the MZM ship…
but here i recoloured it…

and well since im horrible at this if anyone wants to take it and fix it up…

can you make the beams stack in this game…cuz in the original its really annoying how they don’t stack…

It looks nice. Lacking some detail but ZM did overall so that’s not a problem. But I thought the gear below the ship was black?

they stack, however, like zm, you will not be able to combo any beams you want, however, you can manually choose some beams.

you dont have to go back to get another beam, just push another button.

more advanced creature actions (for instance, if you were invisible, creatures would go about thier regular life, hunt eachother, and stuff like that)

also, you can go into a mode where you are only partially solid and visible, in other words, you would be able to go place never before seen, and as above, see things never been seen.

i will be adding more powers, and taking away some in the metroid series, mostly adding, why? because with the new enemies, everything will be harder, and survival looks grim, not to mention killing off 50 metroids.

i plan on adding as many things to environment and destructable things as i possibly can, making the whole world that much more real, and adding that much more atmostphere.

any advice, comments, or whatnot, feel free to post, or not, i dont mind, im really getting past some of the tedious things.

i thought you were doing a remake of M2:ROS…
cause with all this new stuff it kinda kills of the idea of the origanal game…
like you said your going with totaly changed maps… if you do that then its not M2:ROS… its just a game with a whole lot of metroids and alot of your own ideas…
maybe you should creat a list of all the things that your not going to change from the origanal game… like the new tile are a great idea… the MZM tiles are awesome… but you sould at least keep most if not all of the map the same and maybe add like a whole new area at the end like MZM did…

but what ev thats just my opinion…

its still going to cover the basic story, even if there is more to the game.

the events that happened in metroid 2 are going to be there, just with some new cool stuff in-between

much of metroid 2 was boring anyways, hunting metroids and metroid queen, along with getting new items was all the meat of the game, not the maps, i personlly think they sucked.

let me think of an example…

zelda: ocarina of time: masters quest…

only that, with new items, and lets say, bigger dungeons.

it is still the same game, just a slightly different version, it has the same plot, but added content for people who have already beaten the first

is it the same game? yes, the same things happen.

and besides, metroid zero mission is much different than metroid 1, and it is a remake, but it covers the same storyline and adds a bunch of stuff.

i would love to give more stuff…but…im playing ogrebattle 64…
