So your Alpha Metroid’s been bugging me…
I changed the shape, the shading (look at the core’s exterior, and the shell) and that’s about it. I really didn’t like the grainy, strangely shaded shell you did previously.

yours is too long and too wide.
Alpha’s are supposed to be round…
Or that’s what it shows you in the game and on google images.

That’s what I was thinking, but I still think that the shading corresponds better to that of the Omega’s. I tried creating that ‘edge’ that appears on the Omega on this edit, but it messed up the shape (it easily was the thing that took the most time to get right, but it’s still not right).

I’m sorry, but I just hate the look of the Alpha and Queen Metroid. Looks like you were referencing the Metroid II versions too much, which is a terrible idea. Look at how Metroid Fusion made Metroid II’s Omega into something that actually looks threatening. If you don’t make the Alpha and Queen your own, they just seem uncreative and boring, just as they were in Metroid II.
