again, unless you’re going for that style, i dont see 1 work of dithering in it. the shading on the shoulder pads is so blatantly obvious… then again… i havnt made anything lately, so its better than me. xD
When you say blatantly obvious, do you mean to much contrast, or the shades arent even? I’ll assume the latter. Also, dithering isnt an ESSENTIAL part of spriting. It’s generally used limited pallettes, and when you dont want too large of a pallette. It would take ages to dither 5 colors, and I like it this way anyway.
Why not make anything? You’d be a better spriter than I am If you’d actually sprite stuff. Just saying.
Got tired of Amano’s art style, so I made a new Bartz set using the chibi art from the SNES manual and guide :3
The forum these are used at has much larger limits than here…even this sig doesn’t breach them, but I felt gaudy at that size so I shrunk it :3
Took a lot of troublesome editing on the sig there… Krile was filling up a lot of space by Bartz, and I wanted him alone. So while it looks like I didn’t edit it much, it took a while. xD
Well, thats the thing. Samus is the focal point of the whole peice, which is only accented by the swoopy brushing, as well as the black and white brushing that highlights her. If I were to add more, the peice may become unbalanced, and look trashy and … ‘spammy’ as you say.
Thanks for the input, but I would rather leave it like it is, my fine arts degree seems to work only in my eyes I suppose.
