Speak for yourself. A ladder-based boss is a pretty creative idea. Nightmare’s gravity warping was pretty kickass. Ridley was fun, and I liked his music. Serris had a cool attack pattern.
By the way, comparing a GBA game to a Gamecube game is like comparing a YouTube fan video to a high-budget cinema.

The best GC games may be better than the best GBA games, but on average, they’re about the same.
No… the GBA clearly has some relative system limitations. A 9.5 on a GBA beats a 9.5 game on the GameCube because the developers did just as much with less space, IMO.
I was never really into Nightmare, He floated around and had cool lasers I’ll admit. Also was a unique creature under all that armor. But his sprite/image didn’t move like it was complete. Usually you had other bosses turning around to you/have something to compensate for thier lack of movement. Like with that spider in fusion (Forgot the name) it never ‘turned’ around because it was on the wall. However Nightmare merely floated around facing in one direction without much ‘lively’ motion, which is possibly expectable for being a military machine.
All the same whenever I see/fight Nightmare I feel something is incomplete. Which makes him one of my least favorites.
