Crates for P2D. I don’t usually post my P2D stuff here, but it was an experiment with dither shading, so I’d like some C+C here too.

Shading? It looks more like a texture job to me… But regardless of whatever you did, it is very good. It looks like one of the background images you’d see in any professional scroller: smooth and detailed. And I don’t see why you shouldn’t post P2D sprites here… unless of course you mean because of possible plagerizers here, but I don’t see how SCU could be any more secure from that either.

Somethings wrong. THe pic wont load.

It loaded for me, but it took a while and one refresh. ImageShack is bad today.

As for the crate, it looks a bit odd somehow (maybe the edges), but I do like the shading job.

Edit: Added some new angles and fixed the outline a bit.

It looks the same to me, and thus good. So really no new comment, lol.

Updated again. The link got overwritten, so there’s no comparison to the old ones ,but I found some more ingame at a more referencable angle, so thesea re more accurate. :3

So that’s what the referrence models look like. That’s pretty badass, wish i had had one when i was doing my chozo ghosts. That however, is one of the most pwning sprite jobs i’ve ever seen. The only thing i have a complaint about is the lightest shade. Mabye the it’s a little too bright??

Nah… it only looks too bright when looking at the zoomed in one. The normal one looks fine.

I guess, though i still think it wouldnt hurt to dull it down a bit. But then again, i’ve never sprited in the style that will be used for P2D, so it’s most likely intentional. But damn, im trying to give CC here, and you shot me down.

Lol. I’ve never experimented with that, but it works. I cant wait to see the final sprite sheet but it sounds like it’ll be a pain in the ass to do the ground smashing poses.

Also, have you re-vamped the Aero-troopers yet??

the space pirate is EXTREMELY well done, reminds me of something menacing actually, yaknow, something like the duhaku, nemesis, (insert awesome monster here)

i must say, it is more than just a sprite, it actually has something deeper in it.

It kinda looks pillow shaded. Was that intentional? Also, the shading on the sword just kind…doesnt work. Though metal is kinda hard to shade, the way it reflects light is weird.
