ANYways. My current avatar and signature are the ones I use on most every forum I am part of, 'cept I change the color of them from time to time.

I also have this Riveara set that I did …

I know the signature is small, but I really like it. I have yet to actually use it anywhere though.

Haha where did you get the idea to do that? I hate those stupid red X boxes that appear when an image isnt there … arg. Go Samus, go.

Oooh, ooh, make the background transparent, and make the frame with only the red X last a whole lot longer. Then everyone would think the image is a 404 until Samus suddenly jumps in and fires at it. That’d be sweet.

First; Are you using the background layer?
If so, double klick it and make it into a layer.

Delete the color/colors that you want to make invisible.

If you are pixelpushing on a layer, then just throw away the background in the trashcan and the background should be invisible.

Then:

  1. Save the image by choosing “Save as”
  2. Choose a name and the CompuServe GIF format.
  3. Click the little “Transparency” box.

Or…

  1. Save for web.
  2. Klick the “Transparency” box.
  3. Choose a name and “Images only”.

Or…

  1. Choose “Edit in ImageReady” (In the file menu)
  2. Make new frames and choose what layers that should be visible in each frame.
  3. Choose “Save optimized as”.
  4. Choose a name and “Images only”.

i tried making layers, but i dont think adobe photoshop elements has the ability to make layers in gifs…

I’ve never used Elements, so I can’t help you there, but try the Help and search for “Transparency” or “GIF89a”.

I’m getting into this sigmaking thing.

Sig 1 was just to see what I can do with PhotoShop, I wasn’t trying to make it look pretty or anything, do you can just ignore that one completely.

Sig 2 was my first actual creation, edited from the first one.

Sig 3 was an attempt to make a better-looking background than in the first two. I know it looks empty, and that’s cause it is. There’s nothing in it but a background, a border, and my name. (Well, and the funky white part that my name is cut into, but that’s technically the same thing)

Sigs 4/5 are improvements of Sig 3. (linked)

Sig 6 was an attempt at something new, which failed, and was salvaged by huge strokes of black spelling my name.

Sig 7 is another attempt at the same new something, but this time it was successful. I like it =3

It was huge. All of mine fit the sig limit.
